Letters to Basswood 7
Occasionally we hear from people who have bought one (or more) of our puppies.
These letters give us much pleasure.
Here are a few of the pictures that have been send to us with extracts from some of the letters.
Please be sure to identify your own dog by its Basswood name if you write to us -- we can't always remember!

Re: Basswood Smokey Brackett (Archie)

Hi Frank

I hope you and your family are all well.

Archie is well and loads of fun.  I've attached a photo of him enjoying his holidays in the Lake District.  He adores water and mud!!!!  He loves all people and thinks everyone should love him.  He's a great dog - such fun.  He's enjoying the snow at the moment, although he had chapped feet last February when we had the cold weather.

Hope all your dogs are well especially Leila and Dove - woof from Archie.  He's such a happy dog.
Have a great Christmas and New Year

Jane, Neil and Archie x

Re: Basswood Fernando

Hello Frank
Please find attached some photo's of Branston Pickle - AKA Basswood Fernando. He is the most wonderful dog and we love him very much indeed. He is extremely intelligent, eager to please and highly affectionate. He has a number of hobbies but his favourite ones are running, swimming, eating and cuddling us. Branston has a wonderful relationship with his sister Bella (Basswood Matilda ) whom my parents bought from you in September 2008.
Thank you again

Re: Basswood Blusher

Dear Frank,

We purchased our black Lab Alfie from you.  He was born 1st September 2007 to mum  Basswood Lela. We picked him up from you making the drive from Surrey at the end of October 2007.  We have finally got round to sending you some photos of Alfie playing in the snow.

We also want to thank you and tell you what a wonderful dog he is.  Intelligent, affectionate, handsome, beautifully natured and a great retriever.  He also possesses a somewhat maverick streak and a liking for tree branches as the photos demonstrate.

We love and adore him, so thank you!

Re: Basswood Kara

Dear Frank,
Just wanted to let you know tomorrow, February 3, 2010 we will be
celebrating Kara's 13 birthday.   She is doing well although a little
thin but overall in good shape.  Not much hunting these days for
her....although she is always ready to go when she sees Colby with his
gun!   We have been so fortunate to have her this long and we have
truly enjoyed every minute with her.   I will get a picture of her off
to you soon.

Thank you again for bringing Kara to us 12 years ago.   She was 14
months when we got her. [NB: See Letters 1 for the young Kara!]
