Letters
to Basswood 6
Occasionally we
hear from people who have bought one (or more) of our puppies.
These letters give
us much pleasure.
Here are a few of
the pictures that have been send to us with extracts from some of the letters.
Please be sure
to identify your own dog by its Basswood name if you write to us.
Hello Frank,
Just thought that we'd drop you a line (plus photo!) to let you know
how delighted we are with "Florence". She has been an absolutely
fantastic puppy eg. toilet rained within a fortnight of picking her up,
and really playful. She's a natural retriever and really seems to
enjoy being a suitably mastered member of the family. Her only foible
is that she loves eating plants! And hifi speaker cables. As
you can see from the piccie, she's a little beauty and has really won Simon's
heart! Will give you an update in a year or so after she's been out
with the gun. A top top dog; thank you!

Re: Basswood Imogen (Pip)
Dear Frank,
Just a few photos of Pip (basswood imogen). She has settled in
well and is
a greatly loved member of the family. As you can see she loves
the water
and we can't keep her out of the sea!!!
I've spent many hours training her (with one or two fall outs!!) and
I must
say that she is now the most intelligent, obedient dogs I've ever owned.
I've seen no other dog that looks quite as beautiful as her in this
area.
Take care,
Jim

Re: Basswood Smokey Bracket (Archie)
Hi Frank
Just to let you know that we have received our papers from the Kennel
Club today to transfer Archie over to us. Thought you might like
to see a couple of photos of him.
He's settling in really well - been going to puppy training for 3 weeks
and walks really well on his lead. He can be a monkey at times, but
he's very loveable.
All the best for Christmas to you and your family.
Archie says woof to his Mum, Aunties, Gran etc.
Hi Frank
I hope that you and your family are well.
Thought you might like an update and some more photos of Archie.
He's just been on his first holiday. We went to North Yorkshire.
He had a lovely time and was really well behaved. He loved the beach
and sea at Whitby, but also walked on the moors, went on the NY Moors railway
and made friends with all the locals in the pub next to the cottage we
stayed in.
He's a lovely dog - just loves water and retrieving! He's still
going to training classes. We think he takes after his Grannie Dove
as he is so sociable - he loves all people and dogs! He still has
his mischievous and naughty moments but we have had lots of fun these last
8 months. Can't believe he's 10 months old already.
Hope all is well with you. Archie says woof to his Mum Lela and
Grannie Dove and to you of course. Hope all your dogs are well and
that you like the pictures
Best wishes
Jane

Re: Basswood Baron (Baxter)
Hi Frank & Family,
Just thought I'd give you an update on how Baxter is getting on.
He's a fantastic pup, and we're really pleased with him. He's such an affectionate
boy.
He's getting on really well as a Carpenters dog, he spends his days
at work with 'Stumpy', a red staffy bitch, and he has a special pal Lily,
a cocker spaniel the same age - they adore each other.
Getting on ok with the cats - they still give him the evils and the
occasional swipe if he gets too over excited
Thank you for such a great dog, he's brilliant ,I've attached some pics,
what a handsome chap!
Kind Regards,
Jess & Nathan

Re: Basswood Cagney (Kimi)
Attached is a photo of Kimi. He is doing really well, and I think
is probably a bit too pampered! Frank, are any of Kimi's brothers
or sisters close to us in Wimbledon? It would be nice to try to see
them.
Kind Regards,
Sue Baker

Re: Basswood ? (Clarri)
Thanks Frank, Clarri is a wonderful girl, she has done you proud and
we are desperate for her to have a companion of the same high standards.
Wherever she goes people stop and comment on what a wonderful dog she is
and what a great character.
Regards
Karen

Re: Basswood Jackson (Dino)
Hello Frank,
Jackson (Dino) is doing great. His training is coming along very well,
he's bright and taking to his role very well. He is getting many
a compliment on his looks and stature and the slight brown tinge that's
in his colouring is very unusual and admired.
I have a few good pictures of him lately, so I'll load them in and send
them to you soon. I've attached two from when he first arrived.
Regards,
Gerry
