Occasionally we
hear from people who have bought one (or more) of our puppies.
These letters give
us much pleasure.
Here are a few of
the pictures that have been send to us with extracts from some of the letters.
Please be sure
to identify your own dog by its Basswood name if you write to us
-- we can't always
remember!

Re: Basswood Beryllium
Hi
Just thought I'd send you a couple of pictures of Maggie (alias Basswood
Beryllium) now that she's reached the grand old age of one! I can't believe
it's nearly a whole year since we picked her up from you as a tiny black
fluffy ball - where does the time go?
As a puppy she was very little trouble although she did take a liking
to my husbands wallet!! The cash it appeared was not to her liking and
was strewn liberally round the room but the credit cards proved to be very
tasty!!! She went to puppy classes early this year which were a great success
and is now attending the follow up class and loving it! Of all the dogs
we've had she's been the most responsive to training as she's so eager
to please. She's got mountains of energy and a really lovely nature - a
big hit with everyone she meets.
Trips to the local woods where she can race through the undergrowth
and chase balls are the highlight of her day and a recent week in Northumberland
with it's miles of sandy beaches proved to be "doggie heaven"! She adores
swimming and even large waves don't daunt her.
All in all she's an absolute joy and we can't imagine life without her.

Picture of Sky I mentioned, both of us after a hard days gardening
(for me at least ). As you can see although I got her for Wendy
my wife, she and I have bonded well, in fact Wendy says she is a man's
dog. Naturally I disagree !!!!!!

Bill
Sky has now settled in and become a well loved part of the family, she
is an accomplished sailor with a few trips on the boat under her belt plus
trips at weekends to the cabin and her latest has been up to the dales
in the caravan so she is getting round a few places,, at each place she
is a credit to her training and is very steady.
Regards Bill

Re: Basswood Orinocco Flow ( "Hooch") and Basswood Ebedae ( "Harley").
We bought two beautiful black lab puppies from you in July 03.
We have been delighted with our two new family members, they have grown
from cute pups into confident, healthy and extremely handsome young dogs.
Harley, in particular, is much admired by all who meet him; he looks
just like his Dad - Basswood Bowmore. They have great characters, are gentle
and friendly to everyone and quick to learn.
Harley is definately the brains of the operation, instigating the mischief,
but ensuring that it is Hooch who gets caught with the evidence!
Regards
Wendy Littlefair
