Report
2004
- In the 2004/5 season 35 British guns shot driven boar with
us in Croatia and accounted for 29 head.
- The best boar topped 400lb, with18 cm tusks, and several
guns had a brace
- Group 2, in the middle of November, encountered snow, rain
and cold weather conditions. This provided most challenging
shooting, as well as challenging driving in the hills on forestry roads.
- The change in accommodation to more local hunting lodges
proved popular with the guests, and not surprisingly boar was on the
menu.
- We at BSA always try to build compatible groups of shooters
- We managed to keep this up this year, despite considerable
age differences in the guests (youngest 31 oldest 76)
- The first November group got on so well that they made a
booking for this year, with the specific wish that they stay together
again.
- Departures from Heathrow for the 2005/6 season will be all
AM rather than PM, which will facilitate a more timely arrival at the
lodge.
- We are winning with the Police Firearms Inspections upon
arrival in Zagreb, and with advance documentation and declaration we
hope to reduce the ordeal to 1 hour.
We would welcome any pictures taken by guests, to add to the site and
would be grateful for any testimonials or introductions to new
shooters.
