  • Three groups of English sportsmen visited Slavonia  between November 26th and December 7th, 2003
  • 22 wild pigs were taken comprising 5 juveniles, 8 sows and 9 boar.
  • The best boar was taken by Mr C. Chamberlain of London with a measurement of 16 cms, just 2 cms short of bronze medal standard. ( See picture below.)

  • This was our first venture into Croatia and already plans are being drawn up for 2004.
Some changes planned for 2004:
  • The minimum stay will be 4 days with 3 days driven boar shooting.
  • All parties will be in Slavonia over a weekend period, having both a Saturday and Sunday as  shoot days.
  • The group sizes will be increased to 14 -16 guns, since it was evident that larger groups enable much bigger drives maximising the chance of locating more animals.
  • Since it is unlikely that all guns will come as a single group, the parties will be combined. It is suggested that the party size be around 5-6 guns.
  • We shall make every effort to place compatible sportsmen together and will meet each party leader here in the UK.
  • The Contra Inn in Komletinci proved acceptable to all visitors and the hospitality and service could not be faulted.
  • Accommodation provided will no longer be further that 45 minutes from the shoot.
  • We have made reservations for the whole of November in 2004 and we already have some bookings.
